Pearl iZumi Men’s assault Cycling Short. They were extremely comfortable, as a good pair of shorts can make a big disagreement in the ride.
I ride bicycles for exercise, and I do not buy the fancy cycling outfits that make bikers look cool. I just want functional clothes. That said, as my bike rides have increased, my need for security on my rear increased.
A year or so ago, I purchased the cheapest road cycling shorts I could find from Aero Tech Designs. Since they were the only pair I tried, I assumed they were normal. But, I would still get pinch sores (almost like hernias or hemorrhoids) and cuts in my groin area. So, I decided to look for something better.
The material is of good quality, and the elastic sticky part on the lowest of the legs doesn’t grab at leg hair as much as others do. The product is well made and rides comfortably with the thick padding.
I liked the reviews on these cycling shorts, and they were about $15 more than the Aero Tech Designs shorts I tried. I’ve now used these shorts for about two weeks. Since then, all of the sores and cuts have gone away. My riding is close to pain free now. I highly advise these shorts for anything looking for a comfortable ride at a decent price.
cheap cycling short That aside, I still can’t form out why cycling clothes are made without the general conveniences of other sports clothing. Like, is it so hard to have a back pocket on cycling shorts? No, you must buy a cycling jersey with a back pocket. And why not have a front pocket on the cycling jersey for an mp3 player? No, you have to have wires from behind you.
I just wear boxer shorts over my cycling shorts for my back pocket (keys/wallet) and a plain collar T-shirt with a pocket for my Mp3. Again, for me it is function over style.
I ride 20 miles daily, and 40 miles each weekend day, weather permitting. These shorts keep me well protected at the 40 miles range.
